Build specs
PSA upper and lower
BHW 20" barrel (type I)(.264lbc)
standard low pro gas block
M16 carrier
7.62x39 bolt (recommended for this barrel by member here)
collapsible stock with standard recoil spring and H3 buffer (5.4oz).
problem, weak ejection empties getting stuck in ejection port/stovepiping.
I am thinking the combination of M16 carrier and H3 buffer may be the culprit here, but wanted to get others opinions.
1st time firing it.
First thing to do is to make sure that the gas block is lined up with the port. Some gas blocks should be right up against the shoulder, but most should be backed off slightly (carry over from when the handguard end cap was between the shoulder and the FSB). If it is a set screw type, you can flip it upside down and view the gas port through the rear set screw hole. This will show you the proper location of the gas block in relation to the shoulder.
If the gas block is lined up properly, you can try a lighter buffer.

it is a clamp on gas block, and I have a handguard cap on it due to MPI handguards.
I will verify alignment
pretty sure its GTG though for that.

JP Gas Blocks call for .025 gap between the shoulder on the barrel and gas block as Frank was saying. You should measure from the shoulder to the center of the gas hole on the barrel then measure the gas block edge to center of the gas hole to be positive. I have one barrel .025 and on another barrel .010. Just measure to be sure.

Run it wet and try a lighter buffer.

Check for sharp edges on the extractor. Sometimes sharp edges will hold the case too long.

What did you figure out on this? Are the rounds within spec.-on the powder charge? The H3 is heavy-,I run the H2.
Rasp gets good results w/ the H3. Check the bolts gas ring lineup.
Is the gas port the correct size.? Sounds like a bad gasser situation.

using factory ammo to test, for the most part the lighter buffer fixed the problem, still getting an occasional hang up, going to look at the extractor, its a factory new build, rings are fine, gosh, I hope the gas port is the right size!
