Heres a pic of my grendel project. It should be finished this week. Its got a AR Stoner 24 in barrel. A JD Tech upper and a 80% lower build i just finished at a local machine shop tonight. This is going to be a deer and pig rifle.

Nice rig. I like the folks at JD. Would like to hear more about your experience with the 80% lower. Let me know when you take her to P2K.

looks great, although I think your shooting experience will be much smoother if the scope is mounted directly to the upper rather than the carry handle. Also, you may run out of elevation with that CP scope mounted that high. Great build, look forward to range results on the AR stoner bbl.

Spent the evening with my son finishing the pig/deer slayer. Now just to sight it in and duracoat the barrel matt black. We will be spending Saturday out in the desert going some shooting. Good father son time for sure.

I have a second Arstoner Barrel coming from Midwayusa from the brief time monday when they were in stock again. Thats going to be two Grendels for me and my son hunting. I just need to find some cheap ammo Smile

Ok noticed a problem. When we rack the bolt back the little nimble that holds the butt stock spring back keeps coming out. We tried to keep in in put then the tip of it broke off. Turns out the one in our parts kit was plastic. Time for another run to the gun shop.

Be sure the extension tube is screwed in far enough to keep the buffer retainer from popping out.

Did you have the tube screwed into the receiver all the way?

I'm going to put this front tube on my second grendel upper. 75 Bucks from Windham Weapons, simple and functional.
