A little few hour morning break in the weather, so thought I ought to sight in this scope on its quick detach mount. A-max is shooting around 1" @ 100y. Zero'd for 200y now. Next step, reload for step testing on 129 amax and 120 match kings. Probably load up 40 for step testing, test and choose a favorite to run with.

CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING TO ARRIVE! - but guess I have no choice.

Had that the last time in a blizzard. As I recall there was a lot of ice that day too. This is the first 4 hour stretch of sunlight I've seen in over a week. I can go shoot in crappy weather all the time. Figured I'd just relax for once.

The bright side is that there are no bugs. I hate bugs with a passion. Let Grandfather Frost freeze their pestilent carcasses into eternal cryogenic hibernation...

Ahhhhhhh, coool weather we call it. If it hits 72° in the summer back in the day.. we went a swimming. I do shoot in snow depths-not the extreme temps tho.
I hate bugs more than you L 52. Spiders, and all. I would nuke the entire universe to rid my area of effing spiders. Anything that can crawl onto you-=it's not right.=Got to whack it, sorry...Whel., do not bring a spider! I hate all effing crawlers. Tooo many leggs !

I am fortunate to have my own range here. When spring rolls around, it is great outside & definitely the best time to shoot. We have a short window between snow season & mosquito season though. I have been out there plenty of times when the mosquitoes, deer flies and/or black flies have been swarming & biting while I'm at the bench. It takes some focus to ignore them biting you while shooting. It's an opportunity to test self control.
