If anything,it has woke up America.Simply put when you look for facts with the Sandy Hook shooting,its tough to get a real straight story. This whole deal is directly effecting me and my second amendment rights,so yes I care what's going on with it.
I don't accept the fact my rights are being punished for a half ass story with no straight facts. Its sad that they use a tragedy, true or not like this to circle over like a bunch of crows to push an agenda.
Unfortunately,opinions like hill.brandonj are exactly what the gov. want us to do about the event. "Move along nothing to see her folks...",We instead need to worry about super important things, like American Idol,the latest celebrity gossip,and our favorite reality show!
Our heads are not in the sand any longer,the more you look into this story, the more concerning it is. That can trigger things like talking with others to join the NRA,write all of your congress members,join in pro gun rallies,and last but not least be the resistance to tyranny.

That is why we keep asking questions until someone like the crisis actors finally realize what they created and what is going to happen when we're down to only sling shots for defense. Agreed, Bwaites im sorry for my language in the past and the language that i may use in the future, however I shall strive to clean up my act. I really had not thought about until I got on GON forum and I was busted by the end of the day. Yes Bwaites is a good Moderator that lets us duke it out verbally but i will do my best to help with less foul language.

When I see a news video that quotes a law enforcement officer stating that there were 4 pistols and only pistols found in the Sandy Hook school and then shortly thereafter see some dufus medical examiner state that all the victims were killed with the long gun but then would not confirm that the recovered bullets were actually .223 caliber, I know for a fact that I am being lied to and yes that does matter. When this fabrication can possibly take away my right to hunt and shoot with what I choose to use, it for sure matters and much more investigation of this shooting is critically needed.

See thats the thing when I get on a gun forum I just assume its ol dogs like me, I assure you and them I/we mean no offense. Simply frustration with the way things are. I usually replace the letters with * to hide what im saying but still the intent is/was there.

It's ok Deer Hunter, if I didn't curse when talking in person I would lose most of my vocabulary and not even be able to compose a complete sentence. LOL!

What I found particularly bothersome was that Lt. J. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police would investigate and prosecute people for making any statements about Sandy Hook that weren't in-line with the the "authorities".

I do believe we need to need continue to seek the truth however we must not let details like this distract us from the most immediate threat to our rights. The message we must keep repeating is the type of weapon the murder used to commit these crimes DOES NOT MATTER! Whether it was a real machine gun, a so called "assault" weapon, grandpa's lever action thuddy-thuddy, a baseball bat, a knife, a stick, rock, etc., IT DOES NOT MATTER! The results would have been just as tragic be cause the victims had no tools to overcome a disparagy of force and protect themselves. This just as great of a tragedy as the loss of life. The gun banners are trying to take our eye off the ball and doing a good job of it.

I think the reason most people on this forum are trying to get to the truth of what happened in Connecticut and truth of firearms is to have knowledge to explain to the uninformed voters the complete lies and propaganda being spewed 24- 7 by the news media and government entities. I have seen the hatred for the 2nd amendment by people who believe the lies told to them by our opposition. Propaganda aka lying is a powerful tool to direct people who are informationaly challenged to a position they normally would not go if they were presented with the truth. I have a family who moved near me from France that I had befriended who were completely terrified of firearms. After a little time spent with them their attitudes did a 180 and the mother even competes in practical shooting with my wife. They said TV and the information they were fed in their former country had conditioned them with fear of all firearms. Now they are strong supporters of the second amendment and are now taking everything told to them by outside sources with a big grain of salt. This is why searching for the truth in any subject is a good thing and opposition to ones thinking can force a person to explore other peoples points of views for a clearer view. I agree it does not matter what weapon was used in a crime especially to the informed members of this forum. To a non firearm owner with the wrong knowledge it can mean everything. The more proven information we can field to uninformed people and the opposition the better.

That was being played on the Hannity radio show today. It is amazing that these people and orginizations can get away with this.

They need to start regulating the 1st amendment. Just posting a correction on the back page of a paper isn't enough.

TV: For every time the report has been made a correction will need to be made at the same time with adequate time explaining why they were incorrect in their first report.

Paper: If the headline and report that is incorrect is made on the front page, adequate space should be made on the same page that the false or inaccurate report was made.

We need to start hitting the media outlets where it hurts most, in their pocket books.
