Obama wants only military leaders who will agree to fire on US citizens?
#21
bwaites Wrote:I've known more than a few officers; Naval, Air Force, Army, and even a few Marines. I can't think of a single one who would order his troops to fire on American Citizens.

The problem is that this is true the FIRST time the command comes down from above. The next time all of the military/police who refused will be standing with the civilians facing all of the low-lifes and thugs (who won't hesitate to shoot) that replaced them.

Hopefully this is a theoretical exercise.

carbontetrachloride Wrote:Exactly. The Bonus Marches are an excellent example. The Civil War is another. The US military never had a problem with firebombing German and Japanese civilians. I guess the gun camera footage of the helicopter gunship mowing down Iraqi's was photoshopped. Dear Leader gives the OK to drone bomb men, women and children on the other side of the planet on a daily basis. People who are not here trying take my freedoms under the guise of "protecting my freedom". Keep on fighting to prop up those petrodollars.

‘Hurry up and die,’ the self-appointed and dynastic 'elite' say.

This discussion takes us into "interesting" times.

Here is the scenario that worries me: The current tension over moves toward socialism and agitation for full disarmament of the population causes some to engage in extralegal activities to demonstrate civilian resolve. The citizens are declared armed insurrectionists with the troops and officers convinced that they need to act to maintain order. In that event, the rules change unless the declaration can immediately be shown to be illegal.

At least some of the soldiers will follow their orders while the legal case is argued in courts, congress, and state houses. Then, in the classic regulars versus civil populace sense, a few hotheads take potshots against the troops. The troops respond in self defense by returning fire injuring and killing apparently innocent civilians.

At this point we would likely see splits within the military and we might see sides being taken, with a slide into full-blown civil war.

Any sitting US president is smart enough to follow this line of reasoning to the logical conclusion. No sane president would push things so far.

I had plenty of officers who were nothing but empty shells of a human being occupying a military uniform. They would do anything they were told from higher, without question. They tried to do forced registration of off-post firearms when I was at Ft. Lewis, and I asked if they had consulted JAG on that one, because it's a major violation of the 2nd Amendment. All of a sudden, the "policy" disappeared for a while.

There are a lot of leftists in the military, as the military is a microcosm of the general population, with a certain set of standards-mostly physical and legal, waiverable when numbers are low. EO has facilitated the empowerment of previously marginalized groups, who now have the rank and authority to execute social justice. This is why I think getting gays into open service was pushed so hard, so an anti-American Manchurian can use a new leadership framework of gay officers to bring about the change his puppeteers have planned for decades. It has nothing to do with equal rights, and everything to do with a power-shift.

The best evidence suggests that the self-appointed and dynastic "elite" and their puppets, enablers, enforcers, and chattel talking heads seriously underestimate the resolve of US gun owners. If only 1% of American gun owners revolt, that is still an army of 1 million irregulars.

As someone who hates socialism-communism, please allow me to observe that crony/predatory capitalism is not our friend. We should not defend it. In fact, those banksters and financiers should be the first in the docket at Nuremberg 2 for their crimes against humanity, including their genocide, their wars, and their economic crimes against humanity.

If anything good is to arise from the ashes, we must think RIGHT versus WRONG, NOT RIGHT versus LEFT. Those with enough money to own the media and organs of propaganda have been moving the RIGHT-LEFT goalposts for decades in order to move the MIDDLE further into their deadly grasp. It is an old Kabbalistic trick (read about the pillars of gevurah, chesed, and tifret) that can only be beaten by focusing on the objective standards of RIGHT and WRONG.

My greatest worry is that the masses are most likely to act out the race war script that the dynastic banksters have written for us. We should do what Iceland did—jail the perpetrators of our misery. We should not be actors in the tribal banksters' Hollywood script of black-against-white-against-brown-against-yellow while the dynastic banksters sit comfortably in their mansions (or bunkers) counting our money.

"Too big to jail"??? Not by a long shot! I say, "Prosecute the guilty. Leave the innocent alone."

@bjornf16 Look up the definition of petrodollars. Oil is sold in dollars on the global market. It is the global reserve currency. It is the only thing that gives the fiat Federal Reserve Note value. It is enforced at gunpoint. Get it? When countries decide they want to sell oil for gold, Euro's, whatever, the US gunverment bombs them back to the stone age. Jumpin jeezus on a pogo stick. It is plain as day. You fight for the central bankers.

From Morning Joe.

"I spent a career carrying typically either an M 16 or an M 4 carbine. An M 4 carbine fires a .223 round which is a 5.56 mm at 3000 ft per second. When it hits a human body, the effects are devastating. Its designed for that", McChrystal explained "Thats what our soldiers ought to carry. I personally dont think theres any need for that kind of weapnry on the streets and particulary around the schools in America."

You fight for the central bankers.

There are some very valid reasons why the dollar is the world reserve currency, as much as I despise banksters. The main driving force behind that is not oil, but geography. The land mass that the United States occupies is the most choice land on earth.

* It is protected from foreign occupation or invasion by two huge oceans.
* It has the largest arable farmland with more growing and harvesting seasons than any other real estate on earth.
* It has more major rivers that are coincidentally connected to each other as a natural transportation system.
* It has more deep sea ports between any 3 coastal States than some entire continents have, and those deep sea ports are connected to the river network by proximity or a unique inter-coastal waterway on the East & Gulf Coasts
* It has 3 major mountain ranges that create precipitation shadow that just happen to fall onto the largest arable farmland in the world (The Midwest).
* Due to this existing natural infrastructure, the US was able to build a series of railroads, highways, docks, and airports across the entire Nation like no other nation ever will be able to, by simple constraints of geography.
* Due to the collapse of the British Empire and their inability to patrol their former trade routes, the US inherited this task by default, without asking for it.
* The trade routes and major geographical choke points for trade would be taken over by regional warlord thugs if not maintained by some global superpower.
* The old money European powers have maintained their relevance and dominance by steering US foreign and domestic policy for well over 100 years, and survived the competitive free market in the US by creating a central bank for the US by which they could extract US wealth under our noses, and charge us interest for the theft, on top of taxation and enslavement-employment of our women, while getting our kids into their forced public fool indoctrination system.

Since the Euro is destined to collapse by its conceptual failure to mitigate the unmitigatable contrasts in culture, language, and national interests, the dollar will continue to be the global reserve currency, as the Eastern economic warfare alliance can't be trusted between its partners when you look at Russia, China, and the other nations who are pursuing that end. The crap will hit the fan in their regions harder than in the US, and they will move their money to US banks to protect it during a global financial collapse.

I would argue that there are 3 major industries that give the dollar most of its value, aside from the most dominant geographical realities explained above, which is more influential on the dollar's hegemony on global markets. Those 3 major global industries are:

Legal International Arms Trade
Energy
Illegal Narcotics

The one that affects cash the most is narcotics, since it is the only pure cash industry left. We have been seeing major disruptions in the money-repatriating trade, where hundreds of billions of US dollars go missing through the Mexican/Caribbean laundering market, which is what triggered the credit crisis and consequential housing bubble burst in 2007. Something very strange is going on in Mexico with our cash dollars, and the cartels are at each others throats over it, literally. I suspect a foreign actor at-play, especially when you see who ended up with cash surpluses in 2008 (Russia & China).

The short story is that while we have the unique ability to be more critical of our system than most other nations on earth, we are still dealing with the international realities of competition for control of the sources of energy, minerals, and transportation of those resources. The "criminal elite" of the West see themselves as better and more humane stewards over these resources, when compared to the demonic and savage practices of the Eastern nations who don't value human life the same, considering that China could literally sacrifice 1 billion of their own souls and come out ahead, just due to the internal demands on their economy and political system. They only need the remainder of their 1.347 billion populace to continue feeding the production and export model they currently have, which is why they are shipping hundreds of thousands of slave-laborers to other mineral-rich regions, the Sudan & West Africa being prime examples, with Afghanistan already being invaded by the extraction crews and management for the oil and minerals recently discovered there.

The problem, and most dangerous threat to our way of life we in the US currently face, is a Manchurian President who represents the Eastern Powers, rather than the old European banking interests. I'd rather have neither, but someone acting as a puppet for Chinese, Russian, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African anti-US, anti-capitalist forces is a much worse scenario than a British-backed Anglophile for America. That is our current situation, unfortunately...

CCl4,

I know how the oil industry works. My dad was in the industry and I was in the industry before I joined the military. I have a patent in the oil patch. I don't need a stinkin' lecture on how it works.

It is GOOD for our overall economy that oil is priced in US Dollars. The push for pricing in Euro's has quieted down based upon the financial disaster spreading in Europe.

I'm sick of hearing the B.S. that we were there to enrich so and so's pockets or former company. The free flow of oil from the Middle East is in our Vital National Interests, not because our companies are there (I don't think any US company got oil contracts in Iraq), but because we are a oil dependent country. Period. IIRC, we only get some 18% of oil from Middle East...but an impact to the global economy has an effect on our economy.

If we want to stabilize crude oil prices, then we need to divorce pricing from oil futures and place it back on the spot market where it belongs (as well as making buyers take possession of the oil they trade in). Once upon a time, crude oil was priced on the spot market. Pricing scheme was changed because of the commodities once used as pricing standard became low in availability and was vulnerable to "cornering" (thus manipulation). Once upon a time, you had to take possession of the crude ordered. That all changed to make it based upon Brent Sea Crude and Dubai crude (both abundantly available) in the Futures market (and now susceptible to manipulation via speculation).

Both Bush presidents used the "vital national interests" acid test (and I fully support our actions in both Iraq and Afghanistan under their administrations).

Why do we continue to buy from the B@stards when we have all the oil we need here? Yes ive heard them say "Its the environment, our beaches etc.......whats the real reason (or at least whats your opinion from somebody whos in the know?) Theres got to be more to it then that?

Politics. You have the libtards that don't want to drill for oil or allow fracking to get more oil and natural gas. If we moved to natural gas, we could render the Middle East and Venezuela irrelevant to our energy usage.

During 2007, our five biggest suppliers of crude oil and petroleum products were:
Canada (18.2%)
Mexico (11.4%)
Saudi Arabia (11.0%)
Venezuela (10.1%)
Nigeria (8.4%)

IIRC, adding all the Middle East sources (including Saudi) amounted to 18%.
