Assault Weapons Ban? How about this?

I heard Obama's speech, and while there was hints at an assault weapons ban, there was something else that stood out to me. What I'm talking about is his mention of a background check requirement on all firearm sales.

That means no more private sales. Can you imagine being forced to use a dealer for all firearm sales? I can't imagine how such a thing would inflate the cost of transfers, and decrease the value of used guns.

Call your reps and ask them to mention Foreign Military Sales to Mexico, and Fast & Furious in every discussion about arms. Why did this Administration ramp up FMS to Mexico as the police/military=cartels started beheading people like it was normal? Do a google image search on beheadings in Mexico to see what I'm talking about. They make Al Qaeda and Taliban look like low-rate amateurs.

I think I'm going to be sick. No matter how many times I see this type of evil I will never get used to it. I can not believe such horror exist. To think our government aides these monsters and now wants to exploit a sick #@$% murdering little kids for the purpose of disarming us is beyond evil. What the hell is happening in this world? I always new there was ugly in this world and have personally seen too much but I always had a country that stood for liberty and true Justice even though we stumbled along the way. What you can't ignore is how the rise of Los Zetas, the credit crisis, the following cartel wars, the spike in Obama regime Foreign Military Sales, and Fast & Furious play in a perfect storm that mimics the communist insurgencies and killing fields of Pol Pot's regime in Cambodia, yet who is instigating the widespread terror?

What makes you think that the ATF under Obama will issue new FFLs so easily?

One can only try...but you raise a valid (and disturbing) point. I rather suspect that ammo will be taxed, NFA stamps will increase in price, and FFL will become prohibitively expensive.

I had a similar thought last election. Last time I looked, you had to have an actual storefront and they won't issue one without that. Apparently, you can operate out of your home if you already have the license.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong or something has changed. I would love to get an FFL, but at this time, I don't want to operate a full blown business.

Just apply. I think you might find that it's a friendlier process than you think.

There is an agency which issues FFLs and other licenses.
It's called MDK. (Mexican Drug Kartell; business hours 24/7; applicants may submit paperwork ((cash)) at the competent district office.)
