Well if you own any semi auto that can hold more then 10 rounds or it has a pistol grip, high capicity mag you have been deemed an enemy by alot of our Govt leaders. Diane Feinstein has made it official (with umpteen more sh*theads in Congress):mad:. Shes calling for the outright outlawing of these guns from importation, sale or even possession of said firearms. The President's address at the memorial tonight clearly laid out his plan 'that we must change as a society to protect our children'. He will probably go after the 2nd Amendment as what needs to be changed.

No need to worry gents. It is just noise for people in politics at both political extremes to be able to raise money on in a couple of years. Believe the NRA wants a push for an assault weapons ban more than the Brady campaign does.

Just remember when Feinstein actually did have the previous Senate rules (when a super-majority was not required to get a cup of senate bean soup in the cafeteria) and the Presidency, and BOTH houses belonged to her party....they had a "ban" during which I got my first black rifle. It shot just like any before it. It had the same magazines available like any before it. It just didn't have a bayonette lug on it. It was just silly. The people that want a ban are STILL fooled somehow into thinking there was ever really a ban to begin with even a decade after it was over. And, there is just no way they can have any hope to even get that back.

Just take a deep breath gents and think about it. There is no feasible way they are actually going to be able to get your weapons, or even stop you from getting more just like them.

I am writing you to voice my opposition to any form of gun control as a result of the tragedy in CT this past week. Trespassing upon the 2nd Amendment is not the quick fix that people believe it to be.

There have been all sorts of mis-information peddled in the aftermath of the Newton, CT shooting. First, CT has some of the toughest gun laws in the US. They didn't help. Second, gun bans/regulation don't prevent gun violence. This can be seen by the mass murders perpetrated in Scotland, France, Germany and Norway in the past. These countries have some of the most onerous gun laws. Third, the presence of so called "assault rifles" are not the cause of gun violence. Switzerland requires every eligible adult to have military training and keep their issued "assault rifle" in their home at the ready. Switzerland has one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

The real issue that needs to be addressed is a discussion of mental health and the distinct lack of mental health institutions. There is an excellent article written by Liza Long, a mother of a mentally troubled child at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/16...11009.html .

These recent mass shootings in the US have been perpetrated by people similar to that described by Ms. Long. These troubled youth have all had some form of mental impairment, and have been on psychotropic drugs. This is the discussion our country needs to have...one of balancing patient rights with the necessity of institutionalizing some of these troubled people.

There are already plenty of gun laws on the books that prevent the sale of weapons to mentally impaired individuals. Unfortunately, there are other ways of obtaining weapons. Guns are not the only tools available to those determined to mass murder. Additionally, these so called "gun free zones" are nothing more than invitations for unresisted violence and they should be eliminated. There have been many instances of law abiding citizens with concealed carry permits who have stopped or prevented violence from occurring (unfortunately, the mainstream media ignores these stories).

I strongly urge you to resist calls for additional gun control and instead turn the conversation to mental health issues where it properly belongs.

+1 on what Bjorn said- I believe the anti-gun people are trying to "strike while the iron is hot" ... while the emotions from this tragedy are still running high, people are searching for a quick fix- so, let's ban guns, then we can feel better because we "did something", right? that's my take on what is happening right now. Like others have said, the real issue is what mental issue existed, or what chain of events lead up to to the individual "snapping" and deciding to kill mass numbers of innocent people.
Recently in China, guys have "snapped" and killed people, including children, with knives, in one case wounding something like 23- here's the article http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-5755...3-injured/
So, then do we ban all knives in China to "fix the problem"?
But in the mean time, I too am a little afraid at how far the anti-gun folks are going to run with this. Hey, if they can ban any soda larger than 29 ounces in New York, what other rights can they take away?

We can argue with people about guns and it doesnt do any good. The truth is they know the individual is responsible for this. But the administration doesnt care. Its there agenda. They want to disarm us and this is a good way to try it by using these children to get the stupidity of the public that are not firearm owners to stand with them. And i hear from so many people how we need to get rid of guns. Its not about doing what is right. I guess someone can go drink them a couple of 12 packs and smoke some refer and go pick a person they dont like and hit them with my car. After all it wouldnt be there fault. It would be the alcohol, marijuana and the cars fault. So the individual should get off scott free since they did it. The real question is what made this disturbed young man into a murderer of children. Where is the outrage at the violent video games he played? After World War ONE the US military amassed men and armor and FIRED UPON THE VETERANS who peacefully marched to get bonuses they were promised. Who here believes that "our" government has become more just and benevolent in the last 100 years?

Here is what "gun control" means to the current puppets of the banksters, Obama, Feinstein, Schumer, Nadler, Levin, et al.:

The only people that should be allowed to purchase firearms are Mexican Drug Cartels and only if they purchase them through an approved ATF or Homeland Security dealer, in responsible programs like “Fast and Furious”.

They should be trained in their legitimate use as, in areas like shooting U.S. Border Patrol Agents.

These types of weapons should never be used in the protection of United States Ambassadors. That is inappropriate.

Only video tape may be used.
