Ready for long range

Got my scope mounted yesterday on burris p.e.p.r. mount. Plan on sighting it in next week and cant wait[IMG][/IMG]

I'll be glad to post my report. Will just be using hornady 123gr amax. The scope is a SWFA 10x42 milldot with 2.5" sunshade, kill flash, and butler creek flip-ups.

The 123 AMax will do well out to 1,000 yards. That's as far as I've shot them, some others on here may have experience with ranger greater than that.

1k was about as far as i could keep them consistant also. i have made hits at 1165 but it took a few to walk them in.

Nice rig. Do you hand load? What distance ranges do you have access to?

Thanks for the info on amax guys. Lol @ kamrr4437. Lrrpf52, I only have access as of now to approximately 500 yards. No I have never hand loaded but plan to in the future. It's something I have been researching for a while and just don't think ive learned enough to dive into yet (also the money)

Your rifle looks good, you should do well.

As far as reloading, come on in the waters fine. Start with a press and go from there, add what's needed as budget allows or as great deals come up. Before long your ready to go. Just a consideration I've been shooting AA ammo because it's good ammo but I also end up with the Lapau brass for reloading.
