Well today was like Christmas for me. All day long I was giddy like a little kid that knows he is getting a pony for Christmas, because I knew UPS was bringing my delivery from Alexander Arms. Sure enough Santa Claus in his brown uniform came about 3:00

I dry fitted everything together, put it on the lower I have been working on, and put on the scope. I think it looks pretty good.

I just wish the temperature was more like Christmas like instead of 104.
What part of the country are you in? It was 108 today here in the Heart of America and will be in the 100's all weekend too, Buh. Rifle looks good! Hopefully Samson sends out more Evolution 9-EX rails because that's all I need to finish my build.

Pretty close to you, I am about 80 south of Topeka. Our bank actually showed 111, my thermometer showed 104 and the official high was 101.
Awesome build. 101 official high today in Knoxville, but my thermometer reading was 106. Suppose to be 109-111 by Saturday.

Its a 20" 1:9 Alexander Arms barrel with rifle length gas port and it is .750" under the block.
I put on an Syrac adjustable gas block and its under the Samson Evolution 15" hand guard.
Upper is by AA with an AA bolt and Kies Nickel Boron BCG and a BCM Gunfighter charging handle.
Just waiting on the firing pin, cam and retaining pin.
I am using a Burris PERP mount to hold a TruGlo 3.5-10x50 scope. I like the extended eye relief of the scope but it seems a little bit low so I am going to have to check into getting a riser.
Nice rig kbarnes12. I just got my 20" from AA as well. the only part Im missing is the gas block. I was thinking about the syrac as well. Did you go with the clamp-on and if so how well did it fit, mate up?

Mine is the model with set screws.....I could not find any clamp on styled ones in stock when I ordered.
I shot it tonight and I had feeding problems on the second shots, so I am going to try adjusting the block.
This might be a stupid question but how do you mount a set screw gas block? I'm on my FIRST build. There are no little indents or holes for the set screws in my barrel. Do you use a jig or something to line up the port and drill two indents? Or do you just crank the hell out of the set screws and hope for the best? I wanted the clamp on so I could avoid the issue. thanks

Instructions come with the gas block on how to dimple the barrel.
