What manufacturers would you like to see add 6.5 Grendel to their line-up?

I was thinking about what AR-15 manufacturers would do well to add 6.5 Grendel to their product line.

Off the top of my head, I’ve always wondered why LMT hasn’t done it with their versatile MRP and enhanced BCG.

A 6.5 Grendel barrel/bolt combo would be very welcome from LMT I think. Their MARS rifle is pretty slick:




Another company that I think would be cool to offer in 6.5 Grendel would be Noveske, especially the Ghetto Blaster:



Daniel Defense would be another interesting option, especial like this:



I would love to see a Swiss-made AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel too, with all of their beautiful metallurgy, barrel work, coatings, and translucent mags like the 550 series has. If you’re ever cracked open a SiG550/551/552, they are a work of art in the craftsmanship.

This is a great idea! But they need to take at least a full inch off that length of pull. 14 inches? Come on!

Noveske sell 6.5 Grendel barrels, 12.5”, 18” and 20”. I also noticed Noveske sold 6 ARC rifles and might offer complete 6.5 Grendel rifles.

Reading my mind. I was also thinking about an Hk416 type 6.5 Grendel.

Use the Hk 416 receiver set approach with their longer barrel extension, but make it a hybrid Stoner gas system/intermittent tappet for accuracy and no gas introduced into the BCG, like the Perun.

Brownell’s just started offering their BRN-4 kits that are compatible with the Hk416:

Primary Weapon Systems 12.5 would be pretty sweet with a suppressor. Hard to beat the long stroke piston design. Would like the old school adjustable gas block instead of the three position.

I second the Ruger/S&W/Springfield. I think something like a slightly scaled down Browning BAR (the hunting rifle) would be pretty cool too. The Stalker version is already very light, shorten the barrel to 20" and you'd have a pretty handy light hunting rifle for open season herd animals.

That would be way cool!

For me, it would be an aesthetic choice -- the AR is very functional.

But, the BAR grabs my traditional vein and shakes it!
