FOOTLONG ‘Monster’ got it done again!

Coyote tried to ruin my late doe Nebraska deer hunt, but he ate the 123 gr ELDM Hornady Black load at 88 yds.
Then I took the doe at 170 yds.
Both were pass throughs out of the 12” Monster ‘Frankengrendel’.
No bullet recovery.

She wasn’t as fat as the two I helped clean up last weekend though.
But she will give the kids plenty of jerky to eat for a couple months!

Impossible! Everyone knows that you need a 24” barrel for the 6.5 Grendel to be of any use, and even then, it’s only good for poking little holes in paper.

I was gonna say your dog looks lazy on that tailgate, ha ha!

PS: Is that red spot on the deer where the bullet bounced off before the deer decided to go to sleep?

Dog just consumed a bunch of turkey, so yes, he was just napping.

And my nephew’s pet deer was having some fun sledding in the Nebraska hills. Plenty of snow in central Nebraska so the family was just out having fun. Not sure what that red spot is! Hahaha

That’s a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. (Little truck)

He looks nice and fluffy but was probably between 35-40lbs is all.

Shot another one last week that was right at 40lbs. These were well fed, older males. Most of our adult coyotes are in the 30-35 lb range here. Often look bigger but don’t actually weigh that much.
