It is a custom made bottom metal that enables a Howa Mini gun to use CZ single stack magazines.

HokeyPokeyMan made them for us.

The Mini gun is a superb gun with horrible bottom metal and awful mags.

I just bought a new Howa Mini bolt action in 6.5 Grendel. I know about the bottom "metal" and mags. Tell me how to go about getting what you have in this picture.

Look on this forum for HokePokeyMan on this forum, he’s really a good guy.
He’s making a new run of bottom metal as we speak. He has had trouble getting materials to make them recently.

I think this run he is making bottom metal with a drop plate, this is what I really wanted, but I couldn’t wait for them to go into production……… he had one prototype of a CZ mag setup and sold it to me……it works flawlessly.

The next run of parts are on the equipment as I type this, another delivery of material arrived on Friday right before new year weekend.

I am working late nights trying to get the CZ conversion trigger guards back in the store.

Thank you very much. I am new to this forum and new to the 6.5 Grendel. I've always thought it is an interesting cartridge and the Howa mini action a great idea. I, like other, am not happy with the cheap plastic bottom and magazine. I'll keep checking the Jefferson Outdoor link.

Will the bottom metal accept the 3-round CZ mags or only the 5-round mags?

It will accept both 3 and 5 round magazines but if you plan on using the 3 round magazines you will need a shorter magazine release. Which is currently in line for production.
