I have come to believe that the left pushes these restrictions knowing they will not work. They don't want the chaos to end, they want it to continue into totalitarianism with them reigning as kings over all the serfs.
That's why they keep pushing the same-o, same-o that failed back then and still fails today.
They are not idiots nor insane...
