I'm thinking the barrel is gonna get changed out too.

Just wanted to follow up with a little more info on this kaboom I had.

Received my Go/No Go gauges today and the headspace on my PSA checked out good.

The extractor was bent during the kaboom also.

I will be changing the barrel and BCG on this.

After figuring out I was the cause of my Kaboom, by getting lazy and skipping a very important step in the handloading procedure, This is the result.

Ordered a Ballistic Advantage 16" 6.5 GRENDEL SPR MIDLENGTH AR 15 BARREL, PREMIUM SERIES. and an Odin Works hand guard. Put my Alexander Arms Hard Use Bolt in a new bolt carrier. Used my existing upper receiver and complete lower..

I checked headspace with my new go/no gauges and everything was good to go. Put it all together and this is the result. Seeing as there were no injuries....I can't complain one bit!!! Except for the 15 to 20 mph cross wind we had to shoot in. LOL!!!

It's interesting how the base separated from the rest of the case ... it looks so clean on the case side that it could have been machined. on the head side it definitely shows sign of shear and melting.

Not at all.

I purchased a Minimum and Maximum Gauge.
