I need a 12.5" Grendel or 6mmARC barrel

I was gonna say that there’s one for sale in the classified adds but when I went to the thread, I noticed it was your add. Maybe I’m just confused ??*??. BFT told me middle to late December for the next set of 12.5grrr barrels.

I have the 12.5” group buy. It is mediocre for what I want. I am looking for accuracy of under 1 MOA. The group buy Lilja would be great but it seems that is not happening for a while. Maybe the Alexander Arms 11.5”? Are those any good?

If no rush, I’d wait for a Lilja or other premium barrel to come up in the classified adds. Post a WTB add for sure, you never know, someone might decide to sell just what you’re looking for. The 7.5 twist Monster barrels are getting great reviews as well. Another option is to call Precision Firearms and order exactly what you want.

If you want accuracy. Call Mark at Precision firearms. Might take a bit too get it to you but it will be top shelf for accuracy.

I have several of his 12.5 barrels, used one today for a public land beat down on a yote, bobcat and some hogs.

Good experience with Compass Lake Engineering. These guys know how to chamber a blank. Quality work takes a little time, whether PF or any other shop. Do you really want them rushing the most important step in the process?

I called mark at precision firearms a while back. He had so many short blanks that i got a 12" krieger in under 3 weeks for less then the lilja group buy. But who knows what his inventory is like under todays market.

Spoke with Mark. He has nothing that can be done quickly due to his backlog. He said it will be at least 12 weeks. I will be ordering his Criterion barrel. I guess I can keep playing with the group 12" barrel I have now and try and get it to shoot better. Maybe use Sierras in it. He did say the SSTs are crap and to try using the ELD-Ms. So I will try those if I can find some.
Compass Lake only has 16.1" and up and for twice the price of Precision.
Too bad the Lilja group buy is on hold

Yea the sst's dont produce accuracy.

I would try the eld-m's.

Also how much torque did you use on the barrel nut and the muzzle device?

Ok. Took apart the upper. Re-torqued the barrel nut to 37ft lbs. Re-Torqued the muzzle device to 15ft lbs and gas block to 15 in lbs. Barrel went into receiver quite snug and barely moves, so it is a pretty decent fit.
Purchased some new Lapua Brass and 120GR SMK.
Hopefully this gives me at least 1 MOA. Don’t care for better. Would be nice, but not necessary in this rifle. We will see what happens. Brass and projectiles should be here by Monday and range will be next Saturday.

The 90g speer tnt shoot under an inch for me and are the least expensive ive found to shoot.
