New build with a Precision Firearms 6.5 Grendel Krieger 24 inch Heavy Weight 925 Barrel and Hornady Black ELD 123gn Factory ammo,
17degrees when I arrived at the range and after setting up and checking my zero at 100yds I went straight to the 700yd gongs then 800yds, 900yds and finally the 1000yd, All the large gongs are 12" the small gongs are 4"'. Their are no back berms and the range goes out to 1500yds but 1000yds was enough for me today as it was cold and I feel it in my older bones lol.I use Strelok Pro as I have found it to be very good but I always have my dope book which I keep up to date as I have found electronics can some times be off.

Did you finally shoot all the rifling out of your old Odin barrel?
I hit 8 out of 10 at the 1000yd target, The first 5 i hit they are the pic I then went back to the bench hit my first one pulled my 2nd missed the 3rd(no idea what happened) and then hit the 4th and 5th and called it a day. The weather was perfect that morning and if you look at the 800yd and 900yd pics you can see my wind tape just hanging straight down. I set up wind tape from 600yds up to 1000yds as the wind in that canyon changes direction every 100yds lol. This was the first time I have shot their and had no wind.
What was interesting was before i started i loaded the weather and temp into Strelock Pro dialed in 700yds and could not hit it, Went to 800yds the same tried 900yds again no hits. I have been using Strelock now for my last 3 builds and it has been great but i could not get close that morning. I pulled out my Dope book and used the dope from my last outing and i was right on even though it was 25 degrees colder that morning. I got to figurer i did something wrong with the input but i do not know what.

That is some kind of awesome shooting. Happy to see the barrel is performing as advertised!

Thanks Mark but you know what they say "A good workman is only as good as the tools he uses" The barrel is better than I hoped it would be and better than me, Here are a couple of pics of 5rd groups at 100yds with Factory ammo, No complaints from me and I just ordered another Barrel lol.

I used to use Strelock app.It was ok.Then,I tried an app called Bullet Drop ,which I found in the Apple App Store and downloaded for free. It works much better for me. As long as I put in the right velocities and numbers it gets me on paper almost every time.
