I took our M40 Heavy barrel model, recontoured the for end and changed the grip angle and size. The buttstock has the same general look/styling.
This stock accomodates the sporter barrel contour. I did however leave enough material so the consumer could open the sporter stock up to the heavy barrel.
The heavy barrel version fits but the barrel contacts all the way down the channel. Won't take much to float it.
Glad to see more options for the Mini?s. I will wait till pics are up to ask questions.
This put me on hold for a new stock again after debating which way to go.
Gunner, the Ruger RAP grendel, your sporter style stock... Ruger predator grendel is now an AR mag, does B&C have a way to allow that in your RAP sporter stock?

Well I couldn?t stand it...ordered one in green with black web. Hope it is scaled down enough to retain the best part of these rifles as in trim and lightweight

Here's a wild thought... maybe the Boyd's AR-accessory bottom metal might work in your B&C stock? Since both companies have to match the Ruger bottom setup... I'd be willing to try it for you if you supply some parts... I have a Ruger grendel coming in soon.

That's awesome. I recently got the M40 stock for my heavy barrel. Love it! Dropped in. Tight fit around the action and bottom metal. Barrel fully floated. No fitting needed. Tightened the action screws to 50 in lbs. Sub-MOA potential with factory loads right out of the box.
Just received my sporter stock today, had a 7.62x39 barreled action sitting on the shelf so bolted it in and function checked 4 rounds loaded with 125 Sierra SP?s through the mag. Fed slick as a whistle and feels really good in the hands. I think after mounting a scope it will feel a touch heavier than wanted but overall it?s a damnded nice stock. I like the cleaner lines of these newer B&C vs the older ?muted? contours of some of the older stocks. Trimmer through the forend and pistol grip with crisp contour lines, it?s a sharp looking stock. It?s not as light as a premium hand laid stock (High Tech, Brown Precision, etc) but then it?s not $600 either.

just ordered the mini action stock for my mini 1500 6.5G. you were out of stock on the Desert Tan, so i ordered olive with black spiderwebs. will any kind of paint stick well, like most rattle can paints? and how are the recoil pads attached. if i want to lengthen the pull by putting in a 1/4" spacer, is the pad glued on or screwed on?

tdbru, FYI if we are every out of stock, we usually can ship the stock of your choice within a couple business days. Paint and paint prep. Wipe all towel with a little 91% alcohol and wipe over the complete stock and follow up with a dry towel. Just not good practice to allow solvents to hang out on painted surfaces so that is why I suggest following up with a dry towel right away. It won't hurt our finish, simply remove any finger prints, contaminates, etc. Paint away. I've never really ran across a paint that would not adhere to our finish.
Recoil pad. It is Glued and Screwed into place. You will destroy the pad by removing it.
