I have a DIP bottom metal that I am changing over to. It didn?t dawn on me at the time to order the release as well, so before I do the change should I order it in or just stay with my factory release?

i just did both .you will have to remove the bottom to put in the lever anyway. so get both now so you dont have to pay shippng twice..

and put the set screw in most of the way before installing the lever..

Well before I could order my mag release, seems like I was good enough this year for Santa to drop that and 100 cases of Starline brass for my new toy. Better than the coal I got last year.....lol

call dip support & talk to BOB. He can help up put that thing in.. . and remember to start that little set screw before you you start. I had to take it all apart after working 15 minutes. q tip works good as a slave pin. good luck. let me know how it worked out....

Installation was easy and went very smooth , rifle is all back together . My son and I are going to start loading up the new cases tonight and try to make it to the range tomorrow afternoon or Sunday morning. The DIP bottom and mag release sure make for a nice upgrade and feels so much better that the factory set up. BTW thanks for the set screw tip, I had a hard enough time just seeing that little bugger.

It is a nice upgrade. World of difference. Now, only if someone would make some flush fitting metal magazines! Cool

Lol cut down the plastic one and add the DIP aluminum mag plate.

I contacted half a dozen mag makers. Pro Mag was the only one to answer back. Said they would turn it over to R&D. Haven't heard anymore.
