Chuck, Thanks for the offer. I am glad for you. A lady in our Church is the only survivor out of about a dozen that went through the treatments with her. Only time will tell just what I am dealing with. On the 23rd, the treatment team will lay out the treatment plan. I have walked, rode, and flew with the Grim Reaper as my companion. Each time that I thought that this is going to be the end, I will never get out of this mess, it turned away and took someone beside me or behind me. Someday my string will run out, but I hope just not now. For my wife's sake. I think that I can handle losing her better than she could stand losing me. We have been married 53 years, you tend to get attached to someone in all of that time. God bless you all and thank you for tolerating me on this forum.

The guys on this forum are the best. I have participated on several forums in the past with the same results, sooner or later the members start showing their dark side. I do not need that kind of crap. This forum and Doctor appointments are my social life. Who says that retirement is boring?

You both are in my prayers and thoughts.

Five years ago, this coming March, I was rushed to the Hospital after a Heart attack and found out I needed a couple of veins unblocked. During the course of having the first shunt put in it was found that I had blood in my chest. They had to put in a suction devise to get the blood out at the moment it steel tube was put into my chest, hurt like hell, I said to God "Whatever your will for me in this I'm turning it all over to you." I was put into an induced coma and my family was called in. 2 days later I came out of the coma in ICU and stayed there for the next 15 days, I spent a total of 48 days in the hospital and have been back twice in the time since then. If you'll trust in the Lord and turn it all over to him things will work out as he plans it for you, thru all the pain, hospital stays, and mountain of bills God has been my rock and savoir.

Lots of kindred spirits on here. Glad to hear the good news CJ. I am right now 10 yrs and counting from cancer, but staying watchful. And I echo what Sinclair wrote, only the w and I are at 45+ yrs...
My life verse is Titus 2:11-14. He still has plans for us and we're still looking for "projects."
Roger on the Dr visits thing also! But I am glad they are available to see!

Tremendously happy for you CJW! I was diagnosed with T4 bladder cancer nine years ago. While I did not have to undergo any radical surgeries (tumors removed), I have been getting annual cystoscopies and I genuinely understand the apprehension you experience while awaiting the results.

I pray for your continued good health, and urge you to enjoy the bonds of brotherhood that is abundant on this forum.

I personally have not had to go through what ones here have but I have lost family to Cancer including one closest to me, my mom. I feel for everyone here effected by it one way or another. Stay in the fight...
