I was fortunate enough to take a buck yesterday morning that I actually wanted to take last year. I saw him multiple times but was never presented with a clear shot.
Just after first light he slowly and painfully made his way into an opening while following a doe. Listening to the grunting and watching him make a scrape only added to the excitement and I was blessed to take him at around 75 yards. I was using the fusions and did not recover the round but the exit hole looked to be over and inch in diameter.
I think he may have lost a few inches since last year but was still an awesome creature weighing in at 219 lbs.
