Well, that is what you get by not having two foot of snow overnight and a week of never above zero temps. Come next winter I will trade you!

Just checking that nothing changed, same targets and rules right? I might try to get in on this Friday if my son doesn't decide to come a few days early. I need to get a few more range sessions in before he is born.

I use my hot tub as a sitting/drinking pool in the summer... If I leave the cover off overnight the water gets down to 80*. If I leave the cover open during the next day it'll be up in the mid 90's by sunset... If I put the cover back on to keep the sun off the water I can get two days before it's up to 100*.

Precision – The ability of a shooter and firearm to place a number of shots into a small group.

Accuracy – The ability of a shooter and firearm to hit a specific spot on a target.

This contest will be a measure of both accuracy and precision.

I made a copy of a target that my friend LRRPF52 had posted in another thread.

We will assume that those five guys are bad guys.

Here’s the rules:

1. This is a “trust” game. We will trust you to follow the rules and not cheat.

2. Shoot off a bench, prone, sitting, standing, any style you like.

3. Gun may be supported by any arrangement of a front rest, bipod, etc, and rear bag may be of any kind. No “Lead Sled” type of rest. Shooter must have control of the rifle.

4. You take 5 shots, one per target bad guy. If you hit him, it is a “Hit”. If you miss him, it is a “Miss”. A “Hit” is any shot that “cuts” the black.

5. Targets must be at 100 yards for centerfire rifles. The contest may also be shot with the targets at 50 yards for .22 rimfire rifles.

6. Post a picture of your scored target, with targets marked as “Hit” or “Miss”. Pictures of your rifle are also required. You can also tell us about your ammo if desired.

7. Even if you do your best and only hit 1, 2, 3, or 4 targets, please post them. Be a man and show hits and/or misses.

8. Targets must be 8 1/2 by 11 inches.

I know some of you are saying, “Those are big old targets and I have a rifle that will shoot One MOA All Day Long.” So, show us.

Let’s have fun. Do your best and post your results.

Because shooting stuff is fun.

Another thing you can do is shoot it at different distances on a shot timer to see how well you can repeatedly hit the targets. Try 25yds barricade, 50yds kneeling, 100yds bipod supported.

So guys with multiple guns/ammo can shoot it with each combination.

Awesome, my son decided to get home a week early, missed the 4th by 6 minutes. So it may be a little while before I can go to the range.

The T-rest challenge was a lot of fun and harder than I thought. That sneaky sniper by the tree was the hardest for me.
Ruger 10-22 with Barska 4x scope, midway heavy barrel. (Scope barely enough power for this.), cci mini mag ammo. 50 yards, sandbags front and rear.
4 hits, 1 miss.
I used another of these targets to practice with, four or 5 shots at each bad guy.

The back side of the target was printed too small so that's why there is a weird bleed through.
Orange 8 1/2 x 11 binder for contrast.

Come on you guys, we've been reading in all these range reports about how great your Grendel shoots. Well you talk the talk now walk the walk. You've been challenged, let's see some targets.

If it can get screwed up somehow I manage to do it. I put up two targets side-by-side, shot 10 rounds and mistakingly shot both targets with my first five shots. The good, I only missed once and on that shot I parted the terrorist hair. Any credit for double taps?
