I'm still waiting on my Lilja 12". I ordered mine from Precision Firearms, Mark told me will ship in a week that's why I got it from them, other places told me a 4-6week wait but I didnt want to wait. Paid for it on the 20th of Feb and it still hasnt shipped. Looks like I ended up in the 4-6 week wait anyways. I'm going nuts. But I did get an email last Friday saying they missed the UPS cutoff and would ship on Monday which was yesterday. But I didnt get an notice.

Texhill any notice on your Grendel from LaRue I ordered mine 01/14/19? Mine is still CTG as of today!
I decided I did it want to wait for the Larue after the delay so I put together a lower and ordered a GrendelHunter which allowed me to get into the 6.5 G quicker and get used to reloading the caliber. I still have the high anticipation level but was able quench my thirst so speak with my GH rifle which is a keeper itself.

UUGrrr ordered 12/26, received 1/25. Took the free assembly option and the kit came in a hardcase! Matching lower still quite a ways out, waiting for that magical tracking number email...

Still no joy on the lower as of April Fools...

Just had more disappointing news on my LaRue 6.5 UU at first they estimated 3-5 weeks. The last update 8-10 weeks shipping. Their estimate as of today after 11 weeks is it may be 16 -20 weeks or whenever it shows up just one day when I’ve forgot I ordered it it will show up. So much for anticipation I wasn’t expecting an answer like that. Is this their normal OP?

I haven't heard anything from LaRue since I last posted. Did you order anything out of the ordinary like FDE or something I. I ordered the 6.5 UU in black, with 13" M-Lok handguard, and full assembly.

No nothing out of the ordinary my order is exactly the same as yours in black 13” mlock, assembled. I did order 7 mags of different rd count for hunting and range work. The guy said I could have a full refund on my orders I declined telling him I still want the order it’s a good deal from what I’ve read on this forum I doubt I’ll be disappointed. It just hard to believe customer service has no idea when an order may be completed they just pick a number about double the time of the last their forecast.

So I ordered another complete upper today, but this time I ordered from Aero Precision after calling and talking to their tech support. They're out of stock on 18" barrels, so I ended up getting a 20" stainless barrel. I would have preferred a nitrided barrel so I wouldn't have to break it in, but beggars can't be choosers. Their rep said I should have it in a week. I'll use this upper on my Colt 6920 lower, and the LaRue upper on my Daniel Defense lower.

That’s the course I decided on to buy another complete upper so I could get into the Grendel. Good luck with the Aero Precision Upper let me know how you like it. I bought AE’s M4E1 lower, a Geissele trigger and mated it to a 20” GrendelHunter Upper that I’m very satisfied with.

Well... Called LT 4/24 about the UU lower leadtime. Was told they're projected in the Nov 2019 time frame. Talk about anticipation vs realization... In the meantime, it is shooting 0.73" 5x groups @ 100yds with factory ELD-M on an MBT/Aero lower.

Well called Larue this evening and found out the components are not in for the upper kit after 17weeks with no idea when the components would come in. I decided to cancel my order it’s not worth the exasperation I’ve experienced. The CS guy Brad was honest and professional I wanted my Credit Card recredited with the money but he stated their computers would not allow that after 90 days so I’ll have to wait on a check to be mailed out. He said he would see if accounting could it get out soon not really what I wanted to hear since my credit card was charged the next day I made the order.
I’m not in the habit of bashing a company especially after reading about their kits on this forum. But I’m a man of my word and expect the same from others that I do business with. Now I’m back in the market for a second Grendel Ill be sure whoever I order from has everything in stock ready to ship. Being told 3-5 weeks 8-12 weeks then 16-20 weeks then we have no idea was not acceptable. Man I wouldn’t want Brad’s job having to explain to customers all day long about why their orders are not being shipped!

Does anyone have experience with 2A armament’s Aethon or Balios Lite Receiver sets when my check comes in I’ll start ordering components. Questions shipping time on receiver sets and components? Thanks in advance

It is a long time to wait. I ordered two last year. Took like over six months. I built one. Probably gonna sell the other one to fund other stuff.

I just got off the phone with LaRue, and as of right now I am not canceling my order. I told their rep that if it were any other company I would have already asked for a refund. Who knows, maybe they'll get my order out faster now since some of you are canceling your orders.

LaRue has built a reputation as a company synonymous with quality. They are a relatively small shop, and have always had wait times, especially when there are a large number of orders on a certain product - which is what happened here. If I were forced to choose, I would much rather wait on a LaRue than settle for something of lesser quality.

Yes I thought about that also and respect that frame of mind no issue there but at my age and still working away from home on boat where my off time schedule is very limited. I’m not in the frame of mind to wait as long as others. I needed that upper close the stated delivery time . I actually waited 3 times longer but no problem. Good luck I’m sure I’ve missed a good deal but a company still needs to hold to their word.
