ugh, aint that the truth.. I got some plans for some uber long range bombing, I can back up to 1000 if I want to against a 5' steel gong. Itll be fun! Here is my 800yd 7mag vid from this summer.

Takes a long time for our 140gr bullet going 3400fps to get there!

Yeah, but it takes about 3 times as long for the sound to get back as it does for the bullet to get there!! LOL

Found something the grendel likes to eat! Still going to tinker a little more to see if itll get any better.

Just loaded and haven't had a chance to shoot some Nosler 120 BT with 8208, hope to get results like yours. Way to go.

Every Grendel that I know of has liked Nosler BT's, either 100's or 120's or both, generally both.

Just remember that if you shoot other bullets and then Noslers you'll be fine. Shoot the Noslers first, and no other bullet will group until you clean the barrel, at least that's my experience, and Bill Alexander noted the same, as have many others.

As a long time follower and a new member i just wanted to say that this thread is the reason that the grendel is special. Never mind the ballistics, power and ect... Where else are you going to have the "inventor" of a cartridge be so passionate that he will take a used, assembled by others, product and make sure that that it functions as it should ? Not to mention the help and support of the members. I have my first upper on the way, purchased from another member of the board. I am looking forward to putting it thru the paces. Jim
