My 2 barrels were not up to being accurate shooters, too many problems. I got rid of them. So they are 0 for 2 for me. I've been shopping elsewhere since. I don't particularly care about that friends-uncles-brother-etc, I report based on my experience.

I'm with gray. Bought one barrel of theirs from classic. It had so many problems I never installed it. Sent it back and got a refund and moved back too known suppliers.

As far as the raid all I will say is, don't know wasn't there or behind the scenes at bca. Maybe they did or maybe they didn't know their employees were thieving, lieing criminal trash, we will never know the whole truth of the matter.

This whole thread kind of seems pointless to me and brings nothing to the table of discussing the grendel.

Rant over y'all can get back to turning this into a purse swinging thread now.

BCA is not the only company using temp agencies in the USA for employees. If this is the case on this ICE raid there are several things at a miss? Where were the background checks? Background checks have become a must in Industry standards for the most. Stolen SS#'s of the dead have been going on forever. We can all assume that working in a manufacturing facility dealing with firearms background checks would have been conducted. That is either by the TEMP or the Company? Most reputable companies these days require the background checks to protect the company. Contractors doing work IN most facilities require the BG checks before they allow anyone on their sites. Temp workers are contracted out through the agencies.
We all should know that Hiring through temps services the company does not share all the benefits of the company plans and is a cost saver. But in many cases the company has to train the workers. So quality should be addressed and over seen from the very first day. SHOULD, another big ? As, assuming = Can make an A$$ out of you and me!

The temp agency is responsible for paying the workers they send to a company. They charge the company a set amount per hour from which they take a percentage. The temp agency is also responsible for collecting taxes from the temporary worker’s pay. All of this is specified in the contract that the company has with the temp agency. Now this brings in the IRS and if the workers are indeed temp agencies workers this will all run down hill. Now bringing other businesses using the temp agency under fire. The staffing industry in the United States began after World War II with small agencies in urban areas employing housewives for part-time work as office workers. Over the years the advantages of having workers who could be hired and fired on short notice and were exempt from paperwork and regulatory requirements resulted in a gradual but substantial increase in the use of temporary workers, with over 3.5 million temporary workers employed in the United States by 2000. That is the year 2000 so go figure 2019 stats.

Many companies have trouble finding help and keeping help. The immigrant work force is large and is used by many big name companies and more. I'm not taking sides with BCA but I will say there are tons of illegal workers out there in the USA. A problem that has taken a BLIND eye for many years.

BCA is only 1 example of this and being firearm related could set a trend for those against firearms. BCA will now have more to come. I will bet all their records will be observed by all authorities. That could mean all purchases could fall under this investigation. Lending even more to the gun advocates. Speculation only?

With all the bad reviews on the net this just is a reason for many to throw BCA under the bus and may have nothing to do with their products. Being BCA barrels and more are used by many other vendors just think what they are going through at this point? I say let this play out before we all cast a guilty vote. Moving on to the 6.5 Grendel for now. It is a fine adventure. Let's enjoy it while we can.

"We all" aren't casting guilty votes.

And let this play out before we decide anything on the matter concerning BCA. We don't know one way or the other. All we have is BCA's word "confirming" ICE investigation findings which is a bit silly on multiple levels. We have not heard from ICE or other government officials, yet. Last I checked, BCA does not speak for the US government, and yet they have been.

I especially liked BCA's comment on the ongoing investigation stating that they are free and clear of any wrong doing per ICE, only ICE has not stated this yet. What made their comment about the ongoing investigation really interesting is that they they say that it is a matter of policy that they do not comment on any ongoing investigations or company legal matters. How do you comment on an ongoing investigation and then state that as a matter of policy that you don't do what you just did?

It sucks. We need a wall.

I took my BCA 16in Grendel to 500 yards today using a Primary Arms 1x6 ACSS. It worked great. My son shot his 20in BCA with a 4x12 Nikon on it and crushed the steel at 600yds. Both uppers held their own next to some high dollar rigs. The reason why, the 6.5 123 ELD-M ignores the wind compare to many other bullets. But you knew that.

ICE had the temp agency under surveillance. The agency had knowingly used faked ID’s and ran background checks knowing they would be clean.

What we don’t know is how long they worked at BCA. Could have been the first day. BCA might have been doing ICE a square one by getting some federal firearms charges on the agency and workers. So they can drop the book on them and ignore the sanctuary State and City BS, that comes with liberal local and State courts.

We don't know BCA was working with the Feds at all. BCA's statement was that they were "cooperating" with the investigation. That is generic legalese basically inclusive of as little as not fighting anything and are complying with the warrants.

Quote:BCA might have been doing ICE a square one by getting some federal firearms charges on the agency and workers.
That is a stretch given current information. No such charges have been mentioned anywhere. It is primarily an identity theft/immigration operation.

---------------

Again, none of this is coming from the feds. These are just BCA's press releases, commenting on matters they don't comment on, as per their policy.

Given that the 27 taken at BCA were only a small fraction of the 200 or so picked up in total in the region during the operation, I have my doubts that BCA was "working with" federal investigators before any warrants were served. In fact, BCA's people seemed surprised by the raid... http://www.ncpolicywatch.com/2019/02/08/...oss-state/

I have purchased 3 BCA barrels and a Grendel bolt. One 20" 223 barrel I returned due to a short Chamber. It is on its way back. All of the customer service has been very good.

I own a BCA complete upper. It’s 6.5 grendal 24” stainless fluted barrel. It shoots around moa. But,I will rebarrel as soon as my 22” Criterion Hbar arrives.I don’t care for BCA barrels
But I do like BCA parts.I use their upper receivers bolts handguards gas blocks. Usually it costs less to just buy a whole upper ,take the barrel off and use the parts. I usually sell the barrel for 50 bucks
I just ordered a BCA 20” 223 Wilde stainless fluted barreled upper ($175 delivered,w/4th July discount code). I already know someone who wants the barrel for 50 .
So for $125 I am getting a nice, new upper receiver,a bolt carrier(I’ll save the .223 bolt for a spare).A .750 gas block,a rifle length gas tube.A very nice 15” Mlok hanguard and barrel nut.I’m putting it aside from my Grendel match barrel and bolt. Only thing I may need is a bigger dia gas block .
BCA’s parts are good quality.Barrels are hit or miss . But their customer service will always work with you .
Anyways ,where can you get all the parts except the barrel to build an AR for just $125?You’d be hard-pressed to find these quality parts for double that price. And they are all USA made!
