I just got one of these with the Horus reticle. It is beefy. My mount hasn't arrived yet, but I really look forward to getting to the range with it. I ordered 500 123 AMAXs as well. So, I should be set for a lot of much needed practice time before too long. I will try to put together a review of the scope at some point. There is a good review on youtube currently.

I have taken the scope to the range a few times now. It is mounted in an American Defense Recon mount. This puts the ocular bell even with the back of the charging handle while the mount is flush with the top of the receiver.

I like this set up. I drew out a grid in Mils. I clicked and used the reticle to shoot groups. The groups were in the appropriate places whether clicking or holding off.

I hope to get a chance before long to shoot at more than 100 yards. For now, that will have to wait.

Interesting. I've been considering buying a Horus Vision scope for a while now just for the reticle. Which reticle did you get and are you happy with it? That's a a good idea to draw out a mil grid to check the holdover verses clicks. You could also verify your scope's vertical mounting alignment. Post some pics if you get a chance.

Depending on your budget Leupold will be introducing the M6 with the H58 at shot its 1-8 power. Should be around 1800$
