I can't see your link.
I had a BCA barrel that left striped ridges on the brass. Is this barrel doing that?

One of those video links will work. I added another. Darn Google Photos.
I have already processed all the brass that showed the problem. There is a visible line, but the sizing either wiped it, or moved it inside.
I need to scrub the bore. The lands are not equally started around the throat, and there looks to be a fair amount of throat erosion. Not real thrilled with what I saw in the grooves and lands either, but that may change after cleaning.

Reamer chip gouges, you will most likely find that most chambers have them to some extent.
Leaving actual artifacts on the cases, not too great. I would send the photos to PF.
I have the same borescope, worst thing I ever did was stick it down a bore. After being horrified at eight different chambers I put it back in the box and carried on.
My Miroku/Winchesters had the most perfect chambers/bores out of all of them, but they are straight wall cartridges.

This upper has around 1k rounds down the pipe, starting in June of '17. 800+ factory Black ammo, the rest is assorted load development, and handloads.

That looks like tooling chowder. Can't speak to the chamber or headspace but my guess is your barrel was cut at the end tooling life. This is the first time I've ever heard a complaint from a Bartlein blank.

Toss up a pic of the brass that's getting marked. I don't see anything that leads me to think it's cracking, but the pics aren't all that great. It looks to me like tool or burr gouge/fouling too.
The growing headspace measurement is interesting. Not sure if that's related. You use the same calipers both times? Got a new set? Interesting to say the least.

Going to be a while before I can get some shots of fired brass. Working out of town, and I don't know that I'll find any. I have only shot maybe 20 rounds since February, and have already processed them.
As for the calipers, same 2 sets, and the same Hornady headspace tool. Fired cases from 4 other rifles measure the same as they always do, just the Bartlien is the one growing. It passed interesting when the ring appeared.

Send the upper back to us and we will inspect it. Looks like chip gouging. We will replace the barrel regardless under our lifetime warranty.

Yes Mark, this is new. Rifle fired brass stayed consistent at 1.217-1.218. Out of nowhere I got a lot of vertical scratches that I presumed was dust getting in the chamber and the ring showing up just below the shoulder. Measurements on those when it showed up was 1.225 (going off memory here measurements from case to shoulder datum may be 1.125 - I know it was a .008 growth).
Another thread on it when I asked if my chamber could be stretching or something. The thought was that I might have a been over gassed and the bolt was unlocking too soon allowing the brass to stretch more. This is what prompted the complete teardown, inspection (pre-bore cam), lapping the receiver, bedding the barrel extension and gas block. Test firing for tuning still showed the scratches and ring, then I polished the chamber with a shotgun mop and lapping compound until scratches were no longer present from simple new sized brass being hand fed. Warranty is a little expired now.

No I will honor my statement on the warranty. We will replace the barrel if and when you want it as it really does look like scoring from a reamer chip. Wondering though on the lapping of the receiver. Being one of our billets I highly doubt it was out of square! Would be interested in your report on that.

Let me ponder this a while. This upper was destined for a Proof CF barrel when the Bartlien was wore out, and with this chamber, that timeline got accelerated.

I would just like to commend Mark on his commitment to his customers. I know the wait can be a bit daunting and even frustrating at times for people like me who want the best, right now! However as a manufacturer, I know that wait times are fluid and you should never rush a good thing. In my experience PF makes a very quality product and has great QC. Especially when we're talking about a one man show (at least for the really high end stuff). I'm a bit of a 1911 nut. Even with a quoted lead time over run Mark is way faster than Ted Yost.
