so you had two fused, that shouldn't be too bad, however anything in the lumbar/lower back always sucks and takes longer to recover. I have degenerated at C3-C7, right now C5/C6 is pushing my spinal cord over:

ya my l5-s1 was taking up half of what would be the spinal cannel im that area. what sucks is the 2 screws in each 4 fake disks.
then the 6 screws in the vertibe and the 8" rods that sux lol and like u said the lumbar area ...

yea i feel for ya man, lumbar stuff is hard to deal with, but i'm sure you will have far less pain and hopefully none after you heal up, which I hope is soon...
