About a month ago, I ordered a Burris PEPR scope mount for my Grendel. Botach had the best price by about 20% over everyone else..... about $66 for the quick release PEPR mount. A day after I ordered it, I received an email that the item is not in stock and would ship once inventory gets restocked.
At any rate, it's been a month now, and no word from Botach. I have a feeling that they are just using super low prices such as the one I came across to get people to order from them. Likely, someone would order multiple items, but maybe they never actually sell the super low priced items. It's just a teaser.
Has anyone else had a similar dealing with them?
I've ordered from them before, but I only do it for things like the CountDown magazines, cheap slings, stuff like that. I've read other reviews where they left people hanging out to dry like that, so I limit my purchases from them. I do believe they have a lot of drop-shipping arrangements with other companies, which means they're advertising things they don't stock often. That can show up as a problem, since they can't control the supply.
That quick-release PEPR looks like it has ADM levers on it. The prices I'm seeing are putting it at $99, so I'm wondering of they realized they made a pricing mistake and are just hoping you'll go away.
I have an ADM Recon mount I've been playing with, and I have questions about its ability to hold a zero well.
Get a LaRue and cry once.
I just looked at their site for that mount, and I suspect they have not properly-priced it, but by law, they have to honor the advertised price. If it is that price, then it is a Chinese ploy to cut into LaRue and ADM's market, since Chinese workers are underpaid, and their currency is devalued artificially by the government to make their crap affordable on the global market, even though Chinese goods are closely reaching what US goods prices were 5 years ago. Remember the days of $8.88 and $9.96, or $14.88 at Wal-Mart? As Inspector Clouseau would say..."Not anymore..."
I have not had any problems with them but have buddies who refuse to do business with Botach because of bait and switch or back order games.
I don't doubt the LaRue mounts. I just like the way the Burris looks better than the LaRue.
BTW, I called Burris, and they told me Botach is no longer one of their dealers.
I have ordered quit a lot from Botach. One time they had a special for an aimpoint micro T1 with a KZ mount and 15 pmags for $633. The was a previous promotion for 20% off on the aimpoint - they no longer were advertising it but I tried the coupon and it was accepted when I put the order in making the total price $508 after discount. I thought they may catch it and reject it. The next day the order showed shipped. I tried placing the order again but the coupon was invalid. They did ship my original order.
I have never had problems with them - if something was out of stock they got ahold of me and told me within a couple of days and gave me options.
i am waiting on something from them also, i ordered a 22moa rail. got the same email. tried sending an email back and no responce. tried callling and no answer. place is junk ill never order from there again. I want to order the rail from someone else but have no clue if botach will eventually send it and charge my card. my order was placed on october 25th.
I looked up the dealer price on that Burris QD mount, and it is waaaaay more than $66, that I can say.

Same here.
Their on-line catalog should state: "out of stock- backorder ok or no backorders". Just ordered 3 items and got only one. They didn't charge my card for but one item and will charge the other two when they ship. Don't like to place an order unless I know they have it in stock, especially when I can buy from another source that has them in stock. Will definitely check with a phone call for items in stock if ordering from them again.
I order 4x from them and no problem but I make sure that they have it on stock before I made a purchase. They have a cheap price but sometimes (more of the times) they don't have it on stock and it will take 1-2 weeks before it will arrive.
the trick is they have "live chat" and ask the item is on stock and go from there. it is very hard to get them on the phone but you can ask them on the phone also.

I kind of forgot about the scope mount......and 2 months after I ordered it, I received an email from Botach that the QD 30mm PEPR mount was shipping.
Unreal. I really thought they were using it as a lost leader and it wouldn't ever ship. I'm not sure I'd ever order from them again as a 2 month wait is ridiculous.....but it was the best price by far on this mount.
Every gun board I have ever looked at has a few "Botach sux" threads. That is enough to convince me to order elsewhere.
I've ordered from them multiple times over the last ten years, including several optical sights, batteries, and other things and have never had a problem with getting my stuff. Either I'm lucky, or others aren't, can't really say.
I sure wish I would of seen this thread a couple of days ago. I just ordered a mount from them on the 9th and have received email confirmation on the order however nothing sense. When I check to view status there is nothing there. I will be royally pissed if I wait a few weeks for this. A scope and a rifle are useless without a mount!
I odered 3 LED flashlights from them on one order, got 1 flashlight, the wrong 1. It took way too long and way too many phone calls to get it right, so they will never get any more business from me.
google is your friend, with so many good dealers there is no reason to use botach.... questionable business practices including sending rusty 7.62X39 to our troops and so on....wouldn't use crates cause it cost too much in weight for shipping so used bags....... lots of bad, not enough good, too much competition to risk it.

I should have listened to all the bad reviews i saw on the net about this place. I placed an order last week, it never shipped. I called for status today and they said they couldn't deliver an item to CA. I told them to take the item off. She removed the item and recalculated and then the rep comes back and tells me that THREE other items are on back order! I wont be making the same mistake twice! Take my advice and dont make it the first time! I'm not sure how this place stays in business.
