Planning on buying the components for an upper piece by piece as the funds come in, and the Odin works 20" barrel with the BCG and gas block just came available for $385. It completely drains my funds for a while, but I'm not sure how often they come back in stock.
Pull the trigger on it, or hold off? I'm ultimately trying to have my little project complete early this summer. If I can count on it coming available again in the spring I'd rather wait.
Thoughts?

Buy it now! You never know when they may come back in stock again. I paid $405 plus shipping for my Odin Works 20" barrel/bcg/gas block/gas tube (same set up as the one you are looking at minus the gas tube) and have it stored away in the safe for one on my next builds. I can sleep at night now knowing I have it!

I got one on the way.
Last time in stock was Jan 5th and they sold out before I opened the email that time.

Sanders Armory did have them on sale a few weeks ago, don't know if they still have them.

I bought the 20" barrel from Odin and it took about 3 weeks to deliver. Precision Arms got my bolt to me in a week.

Well, I think I've decided to hold off for a bit...I just don't want to drain the funds and find something else that I would have to miss out on. Fingers crossed they are available to me in a couple months. The Odin Works 20" with BCG and NON tunable gas block is available at joebobsoutfitters.com for $385 if anybody wants one!

I got a balance on my credit card that I hate seeing there from my gun buys last year so I am gonna get that all paid off before I jump on my Grendel build.

Understand how you feel! However I have a ways to go before I hit my cc limit. Maybe next weeks trip with the family to Commifornia will do it!

Oh, I am no where near my limit but, I have never had a balance on my card in 26 years so I am not wanting to start now.

I agree. Parts, magazines, powder, bullets, etc. have become easier to obtain with the new POTUS. But that could always change in an instant!

I got one of these Odin barrels in a couple of days ago. Looked decent with no obvious defects. I saw a slight burr at the gas port. Finish in the chamber was not as smooth as it could be but not too bad.
Shot it yesterday. I put 2 different handloads through it and some factory Hornady 123 gr AMAX. It ran 100% and shot all the loads at around 1 MOA without me trying very hard. I'm sure it will get better with tailored loads and a little more effort on my part. The bore must be really smooth. There seems to be no copper buildup and it is very easy to clean.
The included BCG looks very nice and runs well with the barrel. Overall these seem to be a pretty good deal for the money.
