Yes, it is supposed to show a photo. Oddly enough I've even got that in the first message in a post but later replies had photos that were visible.

I get that message even when logged in.

It would seem that the issue was caused by trying to view the site on my phone (I still can't see many photos when viewing on my phone). No such issues when on my laptop.

I move all my photos to my lap top where I can resize them if needed. I can then post them in forums like this when I need to using the forums' procedures for doing so.

Used to use TinyPic, but they went out of business. So now I use this, which is free and fairly easy:

Once the pictures are uploaded to that hosting site, to embed into a thread just use the syntax of
[img]URLtoTHEimageHERE[/img]

i.e.

The forum restricts the file size permitted to be directly uploaded from your computer, tablet or phone to small size pictures. I use a free web hosting site to post my pictures where I select the size of the picture. I use Flickr and put a BBC code in the narrative which is basically a hot link to the hosting site. When you click on your post the photos appear. Imgur, Postit and Flickr are frequently used photo web hosting sites by forum members.
