Those velocities were really slow for a 20". It looked like what I get from my 16" over a chrono.

I also noticed that his chrono was blowing all over with each shot, so I wonder if it was the correct distance from the muzzle.

Do you think the difference in velocities could be due to his barrel being newer than yours and not broken in? Or perhaps a quality or rifling difference?

I also thought the velocity was slow.. especially since the factory hornady match stuff tends to be quite fast in my experience. I really wish they would offer this in a youth length of pull... would be PERFECT for my kids.

No. That wouldn't matter. He should be seeing at least 2500fps with a 20" with that load, often 2550fps for a 20".

What sort of speeds would you expect to see with the 22" barrel version? 2650-ish?
