It seems like all they did was move the rear sight back a little, slap on some rails, add a selector switch, and call it a revolutionary design. Sorry Izmach, but not impressive.

I wonder if this will really go into their official adoption and procurement process. The video made it sound like that was the case.

They officially adopted the AN-94, but only one regiment had it, and I've never seen any evidence of them using/carrying it operationally.

At 0:13 in the above video, you can see the AK-107, which has a counter-reciprocating recoil rod above the op-rod, with a cog wheel to drive it forward against another drive spring. Basically, another set of moving parts to get in the way of reliability, which is probably why it hasn't been pursued.
