It is done!
Guys, I made it,...my gun made it into the German CALIBER magazine! The February issue will have an 8 page special about the gun I build up. As soon as I am allowed to post pics you will get them!
Just for your information: the best group we were finally able to produce was 8 mm wide!!! Cheers to Dave Manson from Manson Reamers, he made it possible!

We'll be waiting with anticipation for your pictures. Does CALIBER have an online presence? I was unsuccessful in looking them up.

Incredible. Truly one for the ages. I love the use of the Grendel logos: on the mags, the muzzle devices, the bi-pod, etc. Very nice!

I got a PVD Titaniumnitride coating for my barrel extension:
I got that for all my ARs. If you know a small manufacturer ask them to coat the barrel extensions this way!! It really improves the barrel extension! The cleaning is 100% improved due to the no-stick feature of the Titanium.

Hi Guys,
it´s "zee German" again...I can give a few infos on performance now:
The gun is running very smooth, now. I had to solve some extraction issues but a D-Fender Ring cleared that out. The gun is able to realize 5 shot groups (100m) of 17,8 to 21,3 mm with the following reloading setup:
Brass: Lapua
Bullet: 136 grs. Lapua Scenar-L
Powder: 27.0 grs N140
COAL: 57.10 mm
My results with 123 grs. A-MAX bullets are quite disillusioning - all my loads with different powders vary about 25mm (1")

It has been chambered with a Dave Mansion Reamer which is compliant to SAAMI specs. I got it inspected:

Hey guys,
Just wanted you keep you up to date: My Grendel has performed up to 600 rounds by these days. The best performance was achieved with LAPUA SCENAR-L 136grs bullets. These guys realized 5 shot groups about 10-15mm on 100m. Unfortunately Berger Bullets are really hard to buy here overseas, I´d really like to try these out.
