Beowulf pepperpot question

For those of you with a Beowulf what do you use for a brake/suppressor? I am thinking of putting the AA pepperpot on mine but it says it should be a permanent install. Is it really a permanent install or could I remove it and put something different on later?

It's pinned, so I wouldn't consider it as my first choice if you might want to switch. (It's what I run on mine, though.)

I did order the King Armament brake for it. Im not sure if Im going to like it though, although I have only read good things about it.

I have two versions of the pepperpot, one is a perm install with loctite, the other is threaded per Beowulf standard.

Exactly that way if you wanted to change it out you could since its threaded.

Just brought the Pepperpot threaded version from AA's website. Cant wait to get home to try it out.

I have the threaded version of the pepperpot, and my recoil went down about 20% after I installed it. The King break I guess works even better but I'm not a fan of it's looks on a tactical style rifle

I am becoming a recoil wuss in my old age, so I went with the King brake because it looks to be the most aggressive. It seems to work well, but I can’t prove it is better or worse than the pepper pot design.

I actually ordered the King Brake too, but I dont think it looks right on a tactical style rifle. Thats why I made sure the Pepperpot will come off.

I kinda like the "cannon muzzle" look, but that is just me. I have considered getting a pepper pot if I can come up with some type of test that would be at least a little bit scientific and provide useful info (vice just starting arguments).

I read a little on the Beyond 556 forum and the guy that makes the King Brakes has some good info. I probably shouldnt have spent the money on the Pepperpot. I have a feeling I am going to like the King Brake once I get it on the rifle.

Recoil is subjective so the best test is to simply shoot the set up yourself and then decide which unit works for you. This is not to say it will suit everyone.

Thank you sir, I just got a Grendel 16" and the Beowulf from you in the last several months. I havent seen or shot either yet, but I look real forward to it. All I need is a sight for the .50 and I am set.

Warped has some video of the WCI brake on a .338 Lapua. It shows a remarkable amount of measurable reduction. That's about the best "scientific evidence" I've seen. Plus, I use a WCI brake on my grendel. It makes a good amount of different, althought it is louder. I recommend the WCI. But, I guess any brake is better than none.

But, you have to admit. You don't really need a brake on a 5.56 or a Grendel. But, I imagine it would make quite a difference on the Beo
