Who's got a Grendel SBR

Our search function sucks. It thinks 3 characters is too short.

I've got a 16" coming that I'm goign to cut down. I was going ~10.5 so my suppressor will but up about 1/16" from the end of the handguard I've got but I'm considering another handguard so I could go 11 or 12". I know inches are free velocity but I'm firmly in the shorter is better camp.

I would look more at getting the dwell time you need for reliability, so when I look at SBR's, I prefer the 11.5" or 12" with 5.56 guns. Since the Grendel uses a larger gas port diameter on the Mid-length 16" pipes, I'm thinking more dwell time is better, regardless of port diameter, since shorter dwell time lengths need high-impulse via large gas ports to run reliably. I also like rifle-length handguards with floated suppressors underneath.

Is the 16" you have coming already drilled at mid-length for the Grendel? That could be a problem for SBR lengths...

I am interested in building a 6.5 SBR. Who makes factory 10-12" barrels?

Is the 16" you have coming already drilled at mid-length for the Grendel? That could be a problem for SBR lengths...

Sadly, it is. Now I'm looking at 12-13" for my SBR or calling Templar and seeing what he can do for me.
