I emailed Hornady the other day to see when they are going to do a run of 123gr amax loaded ammo and got this is response.
"We appreciate your email. Unfortunately, we do not have a tentative production schedule date on this ammunition, right now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We suggest checking back with us for any updates maybe after 30 days or so."

Last time I heard from them they are suppose to start shipping the end of April 2014. 123 AMAX, SSTs BANG BANG!!!

They are still on schedule to run SST's in March and delivery out to distributors in April. AMAX is not on the books. Why? Weird but who knows, it might just come out....Check the vendors at the end of March earlier April.
Watch them do away with Amax since my rifle loves them and ill have to buy SSTs. I just dont like the fact the the ballistic coefficient for flight is not as good as the Amax. Ive never shot any but why change when my rifle likes Amax. Good thing i have a case and a half i guess.

Once they can catch up on more common calibers I'm sure they'll get back to making the Grendel Amax rounds.

Most still say they are 3 or more years out from ever getting caught up. If this is true and things continue on the same path I imagine it will be a long time before they get caught up. I just heard something about a billion rounds or so of 6.8 going to Africa coming up so along with a bunch of guns. Do not know what that has to do with the 6.5 but thought I would put that out there. Along with what the government is buying, bullets in some calibers are going to be still hard to find. It is getting better but it is awful slow. BANG BANG!!

I like the Amax but once i started shooting the SST, I get more consistent groups with them. Seems like people have different results with different barrels I guess.
