Want to trade brass

I have 170 pieces of new Alexander Arms (lapua) Grendel brass I would like to trade for similar value Hornady Grendel brass

My chamber and or dies eat the lapua brass I only get 2 or 3 loadings before I get a raised ring at base of case. For some reason Hornady brass does not do this. The lapua brass requires a lot of pressure in the press the Hornady goes thru like butter.

I'd normally be happy to do so, but I only have once fired Hornady, since all my Hornady brass has been from Hornady ammo.

Not sure I have 170 pieces either.

Same here all mine has been fired once.

I'll trade for once fired as long as they are reloadable.

so is your Lapua new or once fired? I've got a bunch of Hornady brass and I don't mind trading some of it just to see how it compares. Maybe 50 pieces or so....? send me a PM.

As far as I can remember, Hornady and Lapua is comprable quality. Does Lapua use small primers? That might be a deal breaker for me if it doesn't.

My brass is new and the Lapua brass uses small primers. I think the general thought is that the Lapua brass is better quality. I'd really like to trade the whole lot.

I don't have to have Lapua brass, I have lots of it, but I do have enough Hornady to help you out.

I really wish we could work on the problem your having, this might be a work around but something is not right.

If they are not clean I will tumble them first, it is not a big deal.

brian,, You may be oversizing the brass , by a lot ! it's been spoke of here before. You are pushing the entire center of the brass downward. Unscrew the die and start over, with contact to the die with the Ram all the way up then try 1 in yo chamber, then screw the die in a tiny bit at a time till you get it to cycle, have patience .... then add a million'th more , lock it down. Load up a dummy round== no primer, no powder and try to cycle that 1 thru. Have you ever done this before? Reloading , that is ?

I think sneaky is dead on Laupla has worked beautifully in my rifle / dies, If I had any honady I'd swap in a heatbeat
