My new 6.5 Grendel

Wanted to show off my latest!

Alexander Arms 24" Overwatch Upper.
Tactical Machining stripped lower.
CMMG lower parts kit.
Magpul PRS stock and MOE GRIP.
Vortex PST 6 x 24 x 50 FFP.
Aadmount mount.
Harris LS bipod.

Lee single stage press.
Forster Benchrest and Competition dies.
Varget. AA 2520. IMR 8208. (In my possession)
Hornady 123 g AMAX
CCI 450 primers

Done some load up work. Varget worked well but velocity not good enough for my main purpose. Tried the AA 2520 2 days ago. Windy with mixed results.

This is my first AR Semi build and it was fun.
I shoot better single feeding from the magazine??

Those are some good groups. I've always liked varget, wish the velocity were higher though. Good looking blaster too. Thanks for the pics.

Good looking rifle and a great start on load development. I've also had good accuracy with Varget but I guess you sacrifice some velocity.

I never seen numbers for Varget powder and wondered why, It doesn't seem like his numbers were that far off for Varget when compared to 2520. I used 2520 for my first batch (no Chorno then) and was kinda mad about buying powder just for my grendel. I use Varget for a lot of other cartridges so I may look into this myself. I have recently bought some CFE223 mainly to try out for Grendel and to have an excuse to buy a 223.

Good looking upper, how long did it take to get it? My only problem with AA is their wait time to get things, quality is great, products are great, service so-so (Everyone seems so mad when I call there) but their wait time is ridiculous. I did prefer the Satern Barrels when they used them though.
