Ban on reloading supplies coming

I was in my local firearms store and got to talking to the reloading dept manager. He told me that shortly after the election one of our state's Senators was in and "heaped a shopping cart full of reloading supplies". When questioned as to whether he was personally supplying the military he divulged that a ban on this suff would hit by the end of this year. Apparently a bill has been drafted to ban the sale of powder & primers in order to better monitor and regulate the sale of ammo. According to the senator, it will most likely pass in order to prevent other bans from happening. In other words, reloaders will be used as bargaining chips :mad:

You know the more I thought about it it kind of makes sense that they go after the reloaders and heres what I mean. If they come after our guns and they dont succeed they can and will in my opinion go after ammo. They will probably come at us from two different directions 1) They will come up with some crazy tax, serial #'s or powder shelf life on commercially made bullets. 2) They have to come after the handloaders because if they were smart enough to stock up before the Civil War of 2013 they'd be able to provide ammo for the enemy. I know it sounds like a Science fiction story but im afraid its real life my friends.

I heard just today about the talks of a tax on lead, kinda like cigarettes. Note that's just a rumor.

I may just have to use my undergrad degree after all and here I wouldn't have much use for all those chemistry classes.... Gun powder and primer compound are not inherently implicated products.....

I heard the Midway is not shipping handloading supplies to NY... have to fact check that.

There a quite a few companies that refuse to ship to customers in places like CA because of the absurdity of their laws...I wouldn't be surprised if MidwayUSA did something similar. Maybe it will piss off enough people that they will do something about their legislature...
