I just ordered a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39.
My goal is to pull the barrel and install a new barrel chambered for the Grendel. Anyone else do this? Looking at the CZ 527 action closely, it should be plenty strong enough for factory loads, but I doubt that I will be pushing out any "hot" handloads through this rifle. But handloads that don't push up the pressures will be used as well.
The plan for this rifle is a southern hog hunt in the spring of 2013.
Has anyone done a CZ 527 conversion yet? Which barrel maker did you use? Which chamber? I've been recommended by a gunsmith/wildcat developer to have McGowen do it in 264 LBC.
