Sorry guys... I've never even cared about this with my 5.56 but because I noticed some slight pressure signs (that you guys assured me were in normal range) I just want to be sure. I have two Grendels in my possession at the moment and they both do this. One is an AA 16" and the other an ER Shaw 18". When a round is chambered and then ejected both make superficial marks on the bullet (superficial meaning I cannot feel them)... Is this normal?

PS: both guns also make a VERY light mark on the primer from the firing pin when chambered... Is that also normal?

Yes and yes. The bullet marks are caused by sharp edges on the barrel extension. They can be alleviated my very gently "melting" the edges of the barrel extension, (there is information on this in other threads on the forum and involves polishing with a dremel) or by simply ignoring them.

The primer marks are caused by the floating firing pin.

Even the slight ring around the bullet? I don't see how the barrel extension would cause this...
