Interesting video.

I don't think this guy is aware of March. The March 1-8x24 FFP is the same weight and size as the NF NX8, but with the added advantage of side focus/parallax. NF is fixed at 125M. March has 56Mil of elevation/windage whereas NF has 30Mil. Both illuminated, under 9" long, and 30mm tubes.

I have never held a March 1-8x24 so cannot comment beyond specs. The big difference will be price. Down here the NF is $2,500 - $2,800AUD, and the March $3,500.

What did you not like about it? The larger March's I have came with two illum options from the distributor, 'brighter'or 'less bright'. I went with the brighter options. Is it the same for this compact scope.

I have two of the 2.5-20 NX8 scopes and this 1-8 NX8 will likely be my next one. I had wished that they’d put this reticle in it. Now I have no excuse not to buy.

Klem, i had the 1-8x24 shorty which i sold and still have the 1-10x24. Both have an illumination button with 4 levels of brightness. At max brightness is barely visible within an hour of sunrise and sunset and not visible in between. Customer service told me at the time (2019) that their illumination was not daylight bright and not advertised as such. I've seen the multi positional dial and inquired on it but was again told that it would not be daylight bright. I like the adjustable parallax but do wish it had the level of illumination as they nightforce. Being Ffp i was able to use the NF similarly to a red dot on 1x but can't do that with my march.

These really compact LPVOs with top-end features are getting close to optimum for smaller 6.5 Grendel AR-15s.

I’ve been really pleased with what I can do even with a 1-4x24 with good glass and the right reticle at distance.

I broke 2x GRSC 1-4x that were made in Korea long ago, discontinued due to those types of failures.

The 1-6x holds up like a NF, since it’s made in Japan at LOW and epoxied internals so nothing comes apart.
