First 6.5 Grendel build. Just about completed. Waiting on headspace gauges to come in for my final check. I think this will fit nicely between my 5.56 and 6.5 creedmoor. I plan on whitetail deer hunting with it and some range shooting out to 600 yards.
Lots of great info on the forum. I did quite a bit of reading before deciding to start my build. Can't wait to get out to the range.

What barrel/bolt did you use?
As soon as I saw what 6.5 Grendel would do, I started shooting my .260 Rem AR-10 a lot less. I would lose brass after 3-4 loadings with the .260 Rem.

I went with an 18 faxon heavy fluted barrel and faxon bolt.
You may think I am crazy but I am going to run a primary arms glx 1-6 with the acss griffin reticle.

I will post some pics this weekend. Supposed to have the headspace gauges tomorrow and if all checks good will install gas block then do some test fire before completing final assembly
