Bought a Ruger American Ranch with a Vortex Diamondback Tactical for deer and boar. May even take it with me on our elk hunt this year but havent decided yet. Have already gotten a lot of great information off this forum so figured Id join. ???? Cheers

One thing you might consider is getting lower scope rings to bring the optic down to just the right height for your head/eye/cheek height with a solid cheek-to-stock weld.

Appreciate the info LRRPF, already have a cheek rest from voodoo tactical coming. The Vortex mount was a little high for my liking. Ill send some update pics from the range when it gets in.
I'm very taken with the idea of hunting elk with Grendel. Guess this is because the seller of my rifle said that he bagged a bull ato 580 yards.
