Howa Mini Rebarrel

Anyone getting their action blueprinted as part of the rebarrel?

I’m finding Mini blueprinting difficult as the action diameter is smaller and less common

During a conversation about Howa with my gunsmith, he made a point to mention that the factory barrel can be extremely difficult to remove. He has had a few rifles that required him to weld a plate onto the barrel in order to get firm enough hold to use a very large lever bar to break/spin-off the factory barrel.

Maybe you give it a try and get lucky with normal "fit" barrel, and if she won't move then you enact Plan B and drive it over to LGS.

My buddy has done several of them for little trainers for shooting LR for kids with his .221 Fireball Improved wildcat.

He said the factory barrels are really on there, difficult to remove. I think he even cut into the barrel to relieve torque from the barrel shoulder and receiver face.

He’s an artist-scientist technician with a lathe who cuts threads that feel better than CNC.
