Single shots looking for pressure

There were NO overtly ominous pressure signs, none! Brass is still pristine. Yes, the primers are starting to show some flattening, however, there is still a ways to go there……the edges are still rounded in places…..no ejector marks, no cratering, not even any “shiny spots on the rim”……! No defects on the brass anywhere, only the primers are starting to show signs. Anyway, this load deserves some more development at the least. 2811 FPS with a 120 projectile is right there with the Creedmoor shooting 2750 with a 140 and 42 grains! The mighty Grendel is incredibly efficient!

Still continue to be impressed with Leverevelution, even in this 90f+ heat!

All groups were around 1 MOA, give or take, and remarkably similar in shape, for just such a test. The first 4 were more concentric, with the last exhibiting some horizontal stringing. But, no larger than all the rest. Definitely needs some more investigation. You could definitely hunt with what I’ve seen so far but, there could be much more potential from some more load development!

Follow up data.

Same load, only about 10 degrees cooler today, everything else is identical.

33.3/2766/4/1.9. Slightly faster than the first time and with much better ES/SD’s.

First group was the best, around .75 MOA. Other two opened up to 1.5 MOA with vertical stringing. Still no signs of pressure. None!
