Frontier cartridge question

Is Frontier cartridge a division of Hornady mfg?
If so, is it regular Hornady brass?
Wondering if its a source of Hornady brass for reloading.

from what i have read they are a seperate company that hornady has load for them
i have 223/5.56 stamped frontier

Frontier is a Hornady company. Frontier ammo is made at the Lake City Army ammo plant in Missouri using Hornady bullets & LC brass. 223 Rem, 5.56 NATO, 300 BO and 6.5 Grendel with FMJ bullets are their only offerings.

I had a pretty poor experience last year with 5.56 Frontier. Three failures to fire out of 20. I'll be passing on the Grendel.

Midway USA used to have it. There's an interesting thing I saw in the Q & A section for this cartridge on Midway's site. In an answer to the query, 'can these cartridges be reloaded,' a person answered that they could be reloaded but you have to remove the primer crimp. In the product overview it does say Frontier uses Mil-spec primers & since they are made at LC, I would suspect the primers are crimped. No problemo! I'd like to get my hands on some of this ammo myself.

I bought a couple boxes a year or so ago because I’m 99 percent sure the 123 FMJ Hornady bullets that midsouth sells are the same in these. The Frontier shot ok in my AR, I think it was around 1 1/2 MOA. I tried a ladder with the 123 FMJ bullets and W748 and the accuracy was garbage. I’ll have to work another powder with it at some point to see if I can get better results.

Hornady brass has been available this past week on various sites. Right around $42 per 50. Just did a search and found this listing.

I have not ordered from them before but I use that site as an example that this brass is becoming available without having to buy overpriced loaded ammo just to get brass.
I ordered 250 from starline about a month ago for $163. It comes up on backorder pretty frequently and they fill the back orders usually within a week

Heck, I don't know. Possibly. I just want a Frontier 6.5 Grendel sample to go along with all the other brands of Grendel brass I have now. It would almost complete my collection. It would leave only Norma brass as the last brand to find. If I ever find some Frontier Grendel ammo, I'll let you know if the brass is thicker or not.
