PPU brass loaded to Hornady specs but with a larger rifle primer? Am I safe?

I had about 100 PPU brass donated to me. The donor didn't want to keep two batches separated, so he stayed with the small primer cases. After a bit of testing, the PPU's shot the same as the other brass with the small rifle primers. I have not had any problems with the PPU brass so far. You just have to keep the cases separated.

Never really saw a difference in accuracy between any brass, even sized down 7.62 X 39. It isn't the brass that matters, it is the quality of the barrel and the shooter. You will see a big difference between the LR and SR primed brass after a couple of shots.

I doubt you will get more than five shots from any of the LRP brass before your primer pockets open up enough to be a issue.
