Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one the other day. Arrived today. At a quick look I cannot see where the defect(s) is. I'm also surprised and pleased to see they included the dust cover and FA components in separate bags. Honestly, I though it would be a stripped upper receiver.

Got mine in, I cant tell where the blem is at all. Looks top notch, love the attention to detail like chamfering where the gas tube feeds in from the front.

The blemish on mine is that the inside finish is much lighter than outside, no big deal, bolt covers it when assembled. The extra parts were nice but the dust cover they sent with mine must be for an AR10 as it is too big to fit this receiver.

Mine has this as well, I thought this was a feature? I dont have any other BCM uppers to compare against so really I have no baseline. I perceived this as normal when inspecting due to the description including the following:

*Dry Film Lube on interior bore per Mil-Specs

Yes I saw that but the interior is kind of mottled, not even, but the carrier slides very easily. I installed my monster 20in. ARC barrel this morning, a little heat and it slid easily into the receiver, after cooling it seems to be a very tight match-up. Just need the bolt and I'm headed to the range.

The interior of mine is an even light gray color. I didn't notice any irregularities. Not that I would care.

I bought two off them because they were available. Got them in and can’t find any blems anywhere. I probably should have bought more. I have used BCM uppers before and have always been happy with them.

I should have added a firing pin to the order darn. Darn.

Dont forget to take look at firing pin retaining pin (I break and lose those more than fireing pins), and their excellent battlecomp compensator (That sort of looks like an A2 Flashider - ish). That design is the absolutely best compromise of jump/recoil control and blast/noise control.
