Rideing the charge handle forward means, instead of hitting the charge button and letting the bcg slam home you can hold the charging handle that is built in to the bcg and when you release the bcg with the button you can control it and let it slide slowely and queitly forward till it hits the extention and then apply a light force to seat the bolt and round very queitly.

Are you can save the 200 bucks and just chamber a round normally before you walk to your stand in the woods.

The side chargers are cool looking and I like the idea behind it but it wasnt worth the extra cost to me, but thats just my .02 cents.

As far as barrel accuracy I belive any barrel made by AA, Lijra,JP, or sold by PF will be off the shelf more consistenly accurate and more so if you hadload your own ammo.

I loaded up a bunch of 123gr A-MAX with 31.5gr several years ago, and when shot through this rifle, started getting too fast of a cyclic rate.

I had done a pressure ladder with it in 2014 IIRC using CFE223 and 123gr A-MAX, Lapua brass, Rem 7.5 BR LRPs, 2.260” COL.

I produced a 31.5gr load after this ladder since the velocity was flat between 31.4 and 31.7gr.

I hadn’t messed with it as my attention was diverted to my LaRue 18” Stealth 2.0 and the little 12” Grendel, but I wondered if dropping in a Bootleg carrier would help tame the cyclic rate.

Took it out yesterday to confirm zero and shoot steel at 550yds, dialed the gas to fully suppressed setting (full choke), and it ran like a champ. Temp was 46?F.

It’s easy to make the steel sing back to on rapid-fire. Once I see the first connect, I just re-index the reticle and keep sending rounds on-target. Very fun!
